Wow!  It's been a rough couple of months!  On June 26, 2000 I got HURT!

I can't tell my mommy exactly how it happened, (I wish I could!), but I severed my tendon, ligament, and artery in my right hind leg.  If it had not been for daddy, I might have bled to death!  Daddy did find me and started wrapping my leg and trying to call a vet.  He finally found one that would make emergency calls.  Doc came and fixed my leg for me!  Took 4 hours to sew everything back together!  My tendon will never grow back and it couldn't be sewn back, but Doc says, since I am 22 years old and fully retired, that it shouldn't bother me much.  Mommy retired me years ago when I foundered in my front feet.  They usually don't hurt at all, but mommy wanted to make sure I didn't put any stress on them that I didn't have to!  I am feeling so much better now, my leg is healing nicely and tomorrow I get to stay in the field instead of my stall for the first time since it happened!  I am very excited!

Things are going great now!  I am back outside where I love to be and my leg doesn't give me anymore problems!
