Here are foods I've made, as variety is the spice of life, even piscean life.  The whiteworms are for adult arowana.

~ MEDICATIONS ~

For those who prefer a natural AZ experience, instead of using FisherMan to keep tanks/fish healthy,
here all all the medications and water treatments.



Certain of the items are obvious--chlorine cut; GH balance, GHplus, GHminus, pH down, pHup and the water conditioner.
The others are:

METHYLENE BLUE:  treats various ailments such as rots & molds.
HI-GREEN, a mixture of methylene & other things, treats Chilodonella and gill & skin flukes.
GREEN-S is basically Hi-Green with formalin added.  It treats White Spot, Tailrot, molds & other related illnesses.
HORISON is a formalin treatment for common fish illnesses including Chilodonella and gill & skin flukes.

If you need to know dosages, you can find this information in the AZ library contained on the AZ CD.

Medicating can be tricky, knowing not only which meds to use, but in what dosages & for what length of time.
To avoid overdosing the fish, if you choose to use the maximum dosage, use the smallest interval of treatment.
If you prefer to use the minimum dosage, then treat the fish for the maximum interval. Also note that, although
your fish may appear healthy after initial treatment, to assure that all the germs are truly killed, it's
always a good idea to continue treatment for the recommended time even after the fish appear to be healed.

Cautions:

Although GH+ instructions say to add 20ml/10 litres of water; this is wrong, the correct amount is 2000ml/10 litres.

Using too much Chlorine Cut may increase ammonia content of the water.  A safer method would be to
run the empty tank at 100x for awhile before adding fish.

A safer way to reduce pH than using chemicals is to remove the fish from your tank, add plenty of plants & keep the light
on continually, then run the tank at 100x speed.  Eventually the CO2 will disappear & the tank will reach pH of
about 6.3 since plants consume CO2 & there are no fish to increase it.
